Negussie Tilahun, PhD, CEO: With over 20 years of experience in healthcare technology, Dr. Negussie Tilahun leads IHITM with a vision for innovation and excellence.

Dr. Negussie has vast experience managing complex projects involving planning, organizing, and controlling resources. He has produced results by working effectively with members across different organizations. He has extensive experience that spans over 20 years in designing, developing, leading, and managing projects and programs. Specifically:

  • An extensive academic background in teaching and research. Practical experience implementing best practices in introducing technology and AI to healthcare, business, and government organizations by automating processes, acquiring insights through data analysis, engaging with customers and employees, and developing decision-making capabilities that enhance competitiveness.
  • Solid experience coordinating high-level collaborative projects with internal and external organizations to meet broad agency goals.
  • Vast experience applying social science theory and statistical techniques to health services research using data from complex nationally representative surveys. He applied several econometrics/statistical models and graphic displays.
  • Published in professional journals and presented to legislators, professional groups, senior management, and the general public.
  • Competed in more than 14 International Marathons in Africa, Asia, Europe, Australia and North America.
