Update on Saturday, March 22, 2003
Kim and Philip after being without power for two and a half days now have power. About three hours before the power came back on Philip installed a generator. Perhaps it will be useful next week as a similar storm is again predicted. Read the report below with this update in mind.

This is an eyewitness report on the more than 45 inches of snow that has fallen on 5357 W Fremont Place in the last 34 hours and it's consequences for the Eickmann Clan. First to document the snow I've included an edited picture taken our of our bedroom door looking at the deck.
Note that the snow level is over 40 inches (8 inches are predicted for today - total over 4 feet!)
Next the human side and then more cul-de-sac pictures. Kim and Philip have been have been without power for 30 hours. (Give them a call at: 303.794.1477-they have phone service) Susan and Randy have company - Andy and Cherstin came to Colorado to ski. They can't get to the ski areas. Susan is on the phone from Castle Rock now and Andy has promised some pictures from Castle Rock also. Here's a picture moments after their arrival on Friday after 36 hours on the road.
Here are some cul-de-sac pictures and house pictures. For those of you who remember our house being brown - what you see is the new applied siding.
Will I be able to get out of this driveway?
When I got up this morning I said to Marlene that the cul-de-sac disappeared. Here you see the mailbox, basketball hoop and what's left of the cul-de-sac.
So, I hope you have enjoyed the report from Colorado - send me your reports from around the country. eickmann@msn.com
